In April, May, and June 2019, the Fund organized 10 regional experts’ meetings with the Housing Committees of SCO that are involved in the process of renting out the purpose-built rental housing units. The meetings were attended by the representatives of 55 (out of 79) Housing Committees with the Senior Citizen Organizations.
The aim of these meetings was to present the Fund’s work, activities, and plans; the overview and the analysis of the Housing Committees' work, as well as the dilemmas that the committees face when renting out the Fund’s apartments; to present the EU Data Protection Directive 2016/697, valid as of May 5, 2018, that served as the grounds for updating the documents and rental procedures. Furthermore, the updated Application for Renting the Purpose-built Housing Unit, GDPR Guidelines, and the GDPR Joint Processing Agreement were presented.
These meetings offered the answers to all those dilemmas that the Housing Committees face when renting out the Fund’s purpose-built housing units (the tenants’ income, the ability to pay, the guarantee alternatives …), they addressed the questions in regard to renovations and adaptations of the facilities (bathroom renovations, doors and windows replacement, energy efficient façade coats application, elevator installations …) and various plans for the future. The Fund will look into all the attendees’ findings and suggestions, and take them into consideration as much as possible.
These periodic meetings with the Housing Committees of Senior Citizen Organizations are a good form of cooperation that is well received and welcomed by all the participators. The Housing Committees members are looking forward to future cooperation.
