Seniors Center Izola at the Open House Slovenia Festival 201830. 3. 2018
The Open House Slovenia Festival (April 13-15, 2018) is a simple and effective concept where everyone can take a look at excellent architectural and interior design solutions for free. The Festival addresses everyone to explore and appreciate the value of a cleverly designed space. The Fund took part in the Open House Slovenia Festival with its Seniors Center Izola.
About the project
The Seniors Center Izola encompasses two sheltered housing facilities (60 rental sheltered housing units altogether) and a Day Activity Center. The Fund as the investor joined forces with the Municipality of Izola and connected all three facilities into the Seniors Center Izola. It shall function as the new intergenerational meeting point for the elderly. The architectural concept and its urban design both focus on achieving the integration of the residential and public area to establish a functional entity. Due to the implementation of diverse space solutions and floor plan ideas, the facility with all its indoor and outdoor possibilities stands for a quality living environment for the elderly.
