Project Co-livingSlovenia is developing new opportunities of quality living for seniors.
In October 2017, The Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning introduced the project Co-living that offers information on new models of living for the elderly, and at the same time gathers opinions and viewpoints that will help formulate the optimum legal frame for the quality living of seniors. The Ministry has set up a workgroup, consisting of the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning, the Slovene Federation of Pensioners’ Associations, the Housing Fund of Slovenia, the Pension Real Estate Fund, and local communities association (Association of Municipalities and Towns of Slovenia – SOS, and the Association of Municipalities of Slovenia).
The Ministry and its partners will organize several informative events and start an open debate to serve as the foundation for developing all further policies and supporting measures for Slovenia to make a step forward and improve the living conditions of the elderly. Communication will take place via a special webpage, social networks and special info-points in 11 municipalities where round tables will be organized to introduce the forms of co-living and seniors’ experience of co-living.
The aim of the Project Co-living webpage is to offer various information on co-living options, to present experience from abroad and numerous examples of good practice, and to establish communication with all those who are interested in co-living.
